Being a parent or guardian of a child is a big responsibility and can lead to many concerns. Novant Health Family & Internal Medicine South Brunswick is here to get you the answers you seek and the care your child needs. And, when you choose our office for your child's pediatric needs, you can get your child's medical care from a provider you can see as well, making it convenient to get care for your entire family.
Well-child appointments include physical exams along with checks of growth and development.
Our office follows the American Academy of Pediatrics' vaccination schedule. Vaccines have been extensively tested for safety and effectiveness. Any side effects are generally rare and mild. If you have any questions about vaccinations, please call our office or ask during your appointment.
When your child is not feeling well, we're here to help. We have same-day and next-day appointments so we can see you as quickly as possible.
Often, physical exams are required before your child attends school or camp, or participates in a sport. This is to ensure your child can safely take part in the activity without endangering himself or others. Our office regularly completes camp, sports and school physical forms. These forms can often be completed at the same time as your child's annual exam. If you have received a form to have completed, be sure to bring that with you to your child's appointment, as we will not have access to it in our office. Please note: If you are scheduling a school, camp or sports physical separate from your child's annual appointment, it might not be covered by insurance. Check with your insurer if you are concerned.
